State Reciprocity
State reciprocity refers to the tax agreement between two states which allows residents of one state working in another to request a tax exemption from their non resident state; with this exemption no taxes will be taken for the state you work in; instead you will need to request to have taxes held for your resident state to avoid penalties.
- NONRESIDENT EMPLOYEE’S WITHHOLDING RECIPROCITY DECLARATION– Complete to request a WI tax exemption if you work in WI but reside in any of the states below, remember to provide your resident state income tax withholding certificate to Human Resources and avoid penalties.

Jury Duty
State law currently does not require employers to continue paying employees who are absent because of jury service; however every juror summoned is paid an amount set by the county board (not less than $16/day) for each day of attendance and reimbursed for travel. Some counties may pay jurors by the half-day. Please check with your specific county as to when payment is made.
