State Reciprocity
State reciprocity refers to the tax agreement between two states which allows residents of one state working in another to request a tax exemption from their non resident state; with this exemption no taxes will be taken for the state you work in; instead you will need to request to have taxes held for your resident state to avoid penalties.
- Reciprocity Exemption/Affidavit of Residency for Tax Year 2016– Complete to request a MN tax exemption if you work in MN but reside in any of the states below, remember to provide your resident state income tax withholding certificate to Human Resources and avoid penalties.

Jury Duty
State law does not require employers to compensate their employees for responding to a jury summon or serving on a jury; however jurors may be entitled to a state reimbursement for their service.
